Benefits

of Studying

Coding

First of all, what is programming? Programming is the art of writing an ordered set of steps that are able to command a computer to solve a problem or perform a task. Why is it important? We are living in a world dominated by technology. Understanding hardware and software is now as important as reading and writing.

- Steve Jobs

"Everybody should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think."

"I am 22 years old and I am currently studying a Masters in Economics. I have been taking lessons with Gerard for over a month now as an introduction into coding, and I have to say I have been very impressed. Coming from a background with no experience in coding, I didn't know what to expect. Gerard has simplified concepts to an extent where I feel confident writing my own script. The best part of learning with Gerard is understanding the logic behind everything. He makes sure to check whether you understand why you are writing the code so that you not only learn it, but you master it."

ZAID

"Thank you for organising your Coding Bootcamp Event for kids at Stanmore College. Although unfortunately I was slightly late in enrolling Alex, Gerard was able to find a place for my son and was able to answer all of our questions and facilitate a quick enrolment, as my son Alex and I had been looking for a while for coding classes.

The classes were very friendly and Gerard quickly put the coding students at ease. His skills at teaching is real world based and he quickly had coding results from the attendees in one morning. Gerard certainly made the Coding Bootcamp very enjoyable, as Alex was very excited to go every morning. He said at the beginning that his students would not want to leave at the end of the class and he was right!"

D. CLARK

"My daughter received her A Level results and got an A in Computer Science. She received a mark of 97% in one of the modules that Gerard taught her. Gerard's teaching methods, professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the subject matter played a big part in helping my daughter achieve her ambition of attending a Russell Group University. She starts at Nottingham University in September where she will be studying Computer Science.

Annabel asked me to extend her thanks for all the guidance, support and exam advice that Gerard has given her over the past two years. She rates Gerard as the best teacher she has had during her entire Secondary School education.

Gerard has been an outstanding teacher to both my kids Annabel and Sean over the last four years and I have no hesitation in recommending him to my colleagues and friends!"
